12th KOLI CALLING INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTING EDUCATION RESEARCH
November 15th to 18th, 2012
Koli Calling is one of the leading international conferences dedicated to the exchange of research and practice relevant to Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and Education Research in the Computing disciplines. Koli Calling aims to publish high quality research that combines teaching and learning experiences with solid, theoretically anchored research. The 2012 conference is organized by University of Connecticut (USA) in collaboration with the University of Turku (Finland), and the University of Eastern Finland. All papers will be double blind peer reviewed. The language of the conference is English. Koli Calling 2012 is in cooperation with ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE).
You are warmly welcome to participate 12th Koli Calling conference that is known for its moderate size, intimate atmosphere, and lively discussions. This year's conference will be held in the Takho tourist area, an hour's drive northeast of the city of Kuopio.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERThe keynote speaker will be Marian Petre, Professor of Computing and Director of the Centre for Research in Computing at the Open University, UK. Topic TBA.
Our regular conference venue, Sokos Hotel Koli, is being renovated this fall and is therefore unavailable. Our new venue will be Sokos Hotel Tahkovuori, "a cosy holiday hotel in the centre of the Tahko tourist area." Travel information will be updated soon.
