The full conference registration consists of two parts.

Step 1, you need to register to the conference, including the doctoral consortium or the pre-conference workshop if you will be attending to either of these pre-conference events.

Step 2, you need to book the hotel room and the conference meal package in the conference hotel (Break Sokos Hotel Koli). Please, read the following instructions carefully. If you have any questions related to registration, please do not hesitate to contact the organizers by email at conference@kolicalling.fi.

Participants attending to the pre-conference workshop need to book a hotel separately in Joensuu. Please refer to the instructions on the pre-conference information page. Doctoral consortium participants will be contacted separately for their accommodation and other arrangements for Joensuu during the DC.

The conference fee will be paid upon the registration (payment may be made using either credit card or online payment if you have a Finnish bank account).

Step 2. Conference hotel and the conference package booking

The conference package includes accommodation in your selected room category for 4 nights (Wednesday to Sunday), together with full board throughout your stay: breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, and dinner.

Please note that the hotel has a limited and varying number of rooms in each room category, and rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as bookings are made. Therefore, if you are travelling on a limited budget, we strongly recommend booking as early as possible, as the most affordable room categories are likely to sell out first.

The total price of the conference package depends on the selected room category.

If you are not able to participate for the whole conference (Wednesday evening – Sunday), please contact us at chair@kolicalling.fi before booking the hotel for further information, scheduling, and other arrangements.

When booking the room in the hotel, please use code KOLICALLING to see the room options available. Please, book your room by Wednesday September 30, 2026. After this, the unused rooms from the conference quota will be released to the public sale.

Please, make the reservation on the hotel website (sokoshotels.fi) or in the Sokos Hotels app with the booking code: KOLICALLING. Select arrival date (Wednesday November 4 or Thursday November 5), and departure date as Sunday November 8. Enter the number of people in your booking, and the booking code KOLICALLING. You will see available rooms and package prices. Confirm and pay for your reservation in advance. You will receive a booking confirmation by email. Important: There are two hotels that have similar names in the area. You must select the Break Sokos Hotel Koli, not the hotel with a similar name that has Kylä on the end.

The package requires prepayment at the time of booking. The last free cancellation date is 7 days before the conference. The hotel will not refund any cancellations after that.
